Questions to Ask A SEO Agency

SEO, SEO, SEO it seems to be everything and nothing at the same time.  We have a lot of companies talk about their disappointment when they have engaged with SEO firms in the past.  It seems that everyone thinks they are going to be listed number one on Google immediately after they create a strategy.  While that is great to think about the truth is that SEO is a discipline that takes time.

We wanted to write down some questions we have found to help us as we engage with partner agencies.  We would love to hear your stories about what has worked and what maybe hasn't worked as well.

  1. Can you provide an example of a business in our same industry

  2. What can you do with our existing content to improve our results

  3. What is holding us back from being on the first page

  4. What does increasing a monthly budget with you include

  5. What content do you need from us?

These are just a few questions we have found to help guide the conversation as we begin to source SEO agencies.  In general, use a referral.  Ask your Linkedin network for suggestions or even find a Facebook group.  The service and reporting are as important as the technical advice so make sure to spend extra time with them on that.
